A Simple Way to Keep Your Boiler Serviced
Protekt is Thermatek Heating’s boiler service plan. It takes the cost of your one planned annual boiler service and spreads it across 12 affordable monthly Direct Debit payments, so there’s no single bill to find each year.
Every plan includes a service reminder, help booking your appointment and a record of the service kept on file. Your service is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer who works in your area.
Protekt is a service plan, not insurance or breakdown cover. It keeps your boiler serviced and running well; it does not cover repairs, replacement parts or emergency call-outs.

- With the cylinder add-on, one annual service of an unvented hot water cylinder up to 300 litres, in the same visit
- The checks, tests and records our engineer reasonably considers appropriate for your appliance and safety
What’s not included
- Breakdown cover, emergency or priority attendance
- Fault diagnosis outside the planned service, repairs, replacement parts or labour for remedial work
- Powerflushing, draining, descaling, chemical treatment, consumables, upgrades or alterations unless separately quoted
- More than one boiler or cylinder, or equipment outside the limits shown
- Any work that cannot be completed safely or legally because of access or appliance condition

No. Protekt is a service plan. It spreads the cost of your annual boiler service across affordable monthly payments. It does not cover breakdowns, repairs or replacement parts.
Protekt does not include breakdown or repair cover. If something goes wrong we can arrange a repair visit and quote it separately. Keeping your boiler serviced each year is the best way to reduce the chance of a breakdown in the first place.
Yes. You have a 14-day cooling-off period after you join. After the initial 12-month term the plan continues monthly and you can cancel at any time. If you cancel after a service has already been carried out, a fair service-value settlement may apply, capped at the lower of the remaining plan instalments and the standalone value of the service supplied.
Any domestic natural-gas boiler rated up to 45 kW at an eligible property in Edinburgh or the Lothians. The cylinder add-on covers one unvented hot water cylinder up to 300 litres.
We send you a reminder and help you book a convenient appointment. Your first payment must clear before the service is carried out, and the included service is not performed during the 14-day cooling-off period.
